Memorable Lines from Movies, Big Story in Bible

I once put together a collection of DVDs titled, “A Legacy of Movies”. These are movies I hope my children and grandchildren will watch and keep. The DVDs are arranged by different genres: Animation, Sci-Fi, Romance, Comedy, Drama, and so on.

I love stories, and movies give us some of the best stories, told in the best medium, with the whole range of cinematic effects. But what I value most is what each movie leaves behind: the memorable, iconic lines.

This new series on my BLOG picks up these lines, and places them against the backdrop of the bigger story. Or the Big Story found in the Bible which tells the greatest story of all stories. All the stories we hear, read and watch are drawn from the biblical meta-narrative.

While you enjoy each movie, and remember its iconic lines, may you reflect on the Big Story—to which all stories point.
